Should I buy this Jeep Wrangler

    That is over paying for a stockish 4 cylinder.

    I would not pay over 5k for a 4cyl.

    Rust in half and fall apart wrangler! Look at frame closely, most are in poor shape that have been in our area most of their life. Personally imho no jeep is worth buying, I work on ALOT of them. But opinion aside if you want one check the frame closely, the 4 cyl is ok actually a better motor than the 4.slow reliability wise. Just under powered.

    That silver one i posted looks like it has frame coated. Should I just bang on it id I check it out. I suspect probably rusted underneath

    The center frame where the belly pan is, around the rear shock mount points, and the front control arm brackets are the common areas for rust inside out. If you can see metal flaking there, chances are the frame is garbage and a hammer would go right through it. The body tub rots out around the body mounts, too.

    No. Nobody in their correct mind should ever buy a Jeep product that isn't in the Army overseas in a war...where they leave them behind as they are junk!

    But....some still do! They can be fun for a bit...till you break em!

    That being said....I have owned a few CJ's myself.

    They have their own rust areas, too, but I'd call them less critical other than being ugly and/or occasionally ripping steering boxes off.
