they received the valve guides from me last thursday.
I will get back in contact with them end of this week, not going to push on them after only a couple days.
we need more straight six turbo's(gas) on here that run... I am almost done with the shitvic and will be moving onto the supra.
went and picked up the head today. I'm very happy with the results, kinda sucked it took 2 months to complete, 1 since he had all the parts. It was more expensive than I was hoping, so we will see how it all pans out with the tune once it fires back up. It took my car savings account back down to pennies I'll be working on this off and on, as well as getting the motor in the V pulled and inspected. Should be a fun few weeks in the benson garage if anyone wants to swing by and lend a hand. I have plenty to do in both the LS and RB world. Once I get out there and start the assembly I will take pictures, but for now we are up ready to go.
got the head torqued on tonight, as well as the tensioners. Tomorrow going to install the cams, timing belt and rest of the top end of the motor. I feel like I have something going on Friday, if not i'll be out there again Friday, and sunday. Saturday will be taken up by CnC and the Indiana V meet.

depends on how close the tune is with these new cams and larger valves.
well thursday was a fail, as I didn't have an in/lb torque wrench. Got one on the way home today, and put the cams in. Timed the motor and have to just torque the crank pulley bolt on then that is all finished. Put the intake/exhaust manifolds back on, re-hang the intercooler and radiator, and all that other detail crap and should be done.
You make this run yet? If you keep messing around I'll have the Evo out before you have this out.

Put it all back together, tried to fire it and it would not. After some diag, we found cylinder 6 had 0 compression. Put it on hold till the wedding was over. Going to pull the cams and the head back off to find out what the issue is. The cylinder wall looked just fine before hand. Not sure if the compression ring could fail, and not scratch the wall at all. I'll keep everyone updated once I get back to it.
Let's see....issue above was bent valve. Had a real machine shop fix and reinstalled the head. Car made 621 maxing out the map sensor. Ran thru the clutch and put a new OS giken twin disc in it and ran just fine. Currently it has a grounding issue causing wideband to read bad and run fat. Haven't really messed with it since.
