    Ok,

I am going to start from scratch with this thread, its beyond time to get this car up and running. I have been buying parts for it and they are just sitting around, well not anymore!

We will start with me buying the car in 2007, driving it for 3 months, then tearing it apart for a new turbo setup/cleaning some things up from the previous owner. That took all winter and it was out on the road in spring 2008. It was wrecked in the summer of 2008 and after a fight with the insurance company over a misunderstanding I was forced to pay for the damages out of pocket. I decided to buy a clean new shell and swap everything over. New shell arrives in spring of 2009, but then we decide to sell our condo and purchase a home. Bye-bye 2009-2010. 2011 rolls in, school and house projects still are dominating my life so the cars just sit....and sits....and sits. It is now 2/3 thru 2012 and they are in the same position since they were drug into the garage in 2010. Time to get my ass in gear and finish this bitch. My plan is to get it sitting on the ground, get the engine bay knocked out, get the white car the hell out of the way, and finish the wiring and interior last. If I stick to my guns, and hopefully I will, I will work on it a little every week. Even if its just 30min at a time. I plan to have a couple people come and kick me in my ass to stay on task. If you want to be included in that ass kicking, let me know. I am more than willing to have anyone come keep me company as I work on the car. I promise there will always be ice cold beer and food. Now to the fun stuff...

First plan of action is replacing the brakes on the DD and knocking out the timing belt. That will be happening the next couple days. Then its on like donkey kong.

I hope to never have another project like this in my life. Its amazing how little I started to care about it once it got out of control.

Yeah right. You always need parts or supplies randomly and most autoparts stores don't have Skyline listed in their vehicle database.

Words from a jaded DSM owner.
